Spring 2025 Summary
The Spring 2025 season was another standout chapter for Abington Heights Athletics. From record-breaking performances to championship wins, our student-athletes once again raised the bar. Below is a recap of team highlights, postseason runs, and overall program accomplishments.
Program Overview
- Overall Record: 115 wins, 24 losses (.827 win%)
↑ 5.6% from 2024 (101-30, .771)
- League Record: 80 wins, 8 losses (.909 win%)
↑ 6.5% from 2024 (76-14, .844)
Baseball (17-5 overall, 12-2 league)
- LIAA Division 1 Co-Champions
- #2 seed in District 2/4 Class 5A Subregional
- Defeated North Pocono in semifinals
- Fell to Pittston Area in championship game
- Nick Bradley named 2024–25 Gatorade Player of the Year for Pennsylvania Baseball
Boys Lacrosse (13-6 overall, 9-3 league)
- Program-best #2 finish in District 2 Class 2A Power Rankings… for postseason seeding
- Quarterfinal win over Holy Redeemer
- Fell to Crestwood in district semifinals
Girls Lacrosse (22-1 overall, 13-0 league)
- First-ever WVC Champions (13-0 conference record)
- District 2 Class 2A Champions (back-to-back titles)
- First-ever state tournament win (15-10 vs. Hershey)
- Reached PIAA 2A State Semifinals
- Final ranking: #5 in PA (PA Lax News’ @palaxnews PIAA 2A Girls, released 6/16/25)
Softball (19-3 overall, 13-1 league)
- LIAA Division 1 Champions
- #1 seed in District 2/4 Class 5A Subregional
- Semifinal win over Delaware Valley
- District runners-up after loss to North Pocono
- 4 district final appearances in the past 5 seasons
Boys Tennis (15-1 overall, 11-0 league)
- LIAA Division 1 Champions
- District 2 Class 3A Team Champions (12th consecutive year)
- Praneel Mallaiah: 3rd straight Singles Champion
- Brady Comstock/Liam Farrell: Doubles Champions
- Competed at States in team, singles, and doubles brackets
Boys Track & Field (5-0 overall, 4-0 league)
- LIAA Division 1 Champions
- Jordan Relays 3A School Title
- Spagna Meet 3A Team Champions
- 4th place at District 2 Championships
- DJ Rogers: School record in 100m (10.97), state qualifier in 200m
Girls Track & Field (5-0 overall, 4-0 league)
- LIAA Division 1 Champions
- Jordan Relays & Spagna Meet 3A Champions
- District 2 Runners-Up
- 4x800m relay (Bartell, Pucilowski, Morgan, Coleman): District Champs
- Anna Pucilowski: State qualifier in 1600m (5:03.86) & 3200m (10:58.62)
- Tamara Seid: State qualifier in triple jump, long jump, and pole vault (school record: 12-2)
- Maggie Coleman: 400m state qualifier, broke a 27-year-old school record of Julie Nicholas (:57.43) in 1998 at the state championships!
- Reese Morgan: State qualifier in 800m (2:17.84)
Boys Volleyball (15-6 overall, 10-0 league)
- LIAA League Champions (6th in last 10 years)
- #2 seed in District 2 Class 3A
- Wins over Hazleton, Wilkes-Barre Area, and Delaware Valley to claim District Championship
- First-ever PIAA State Tournament win (over Bethlehem Freedom)
- Fell in state quarterfinals to eventual champion Cumberland Valley
Unified Track & Field (4-2 overall, 4-2 league)
- NE Region West Division record: 4-2
- Regional Champions (1st of 7 teams)
- Placed 2nd at West/South Divisional Meet
- 2nd place at IUS State Championships (out of 9 teams at Shippensburg)
Powerlifting*
- 4th Place (Boys) at PowerliftingAmerica Nationals
- 2nd Overall (Combined Boys & Girls)
- State Champions (Girls) and 2nd (Boys) at PowerliftingAmerica’s PA High School Championships
- Notables:
